Bugs!

We have moved on from lizards to bugs. 

 Yes - nightmares again. 

 But - they have a ton of fun doing it and they get to spend time outside so that I can sew. 

 It's a win-win situation!

Best Friends

Look at how cute these three are!  

Jackson loves Derek and Maddie (they love him back), 

and they all have so much fun playing together.  

Derek pulled Maddie and Jack around in this wagon for a little while, even though 

"they are really heavy!"

Lizards

Are abundant around our house.  

Derek and Maddie decided that they each needed a can, and a lid, so that they could go catch some.  

I think to myself they will never catch any...lizards are too fast.  WRONG! 

Here are some pics of the catches of the day.  

This one is named "No Tail" because when they caught it by the tail - the tail fell off.
"MOM - it was SO cool!!!"

One lizard I can deal with - fine, keep it outside...whatever.  

But when they each have one I get a little bit uncomfortable - don't even come near the door, 

keep the lids on them...EW

I need to also add that after this entire day outside catching lizards...

Derek had nightmares about lizards all night long.  UGH!! 

Jason finally made them let them go in the yard

so that they didn't die.  I am sure that we will be having 

this adventure again in the near future...

Denver - Day 2

The 2nd day in Denver was just as much fun (maybe more since we hadn't started the day out driving) 

than the first day.  We had just enough time in the morning to take the kids to the 

Denver Downtown Aquarium

 which of course they loved.  

After that I was lucky enough to score some tickets to the 

Colorado Rockies

game (neither the kids nor myself have ever been to a professional baseball game)

 so I was super excited to be able to share that with them as well as

 Candace and Jack (it wasn't really their first game - lucky ducks).

Sidenote - it would be a blast to go to another game without the kiddos...jes sayin.

Denver - Day 1

We were lucky enough to be able to take a short trip to Denver for my birthday this year.  

It was a ton of fun, and here are the happenings from the first day...

Quick stop in Glendwood Springs (of course)

16th Street Mall

I would love to go back and spend a day walking around

the 16th Street Mall.  They had so many fun stores and a ton of little

cafe's that you could stop where you could stop and grab a quick bite.  The Italian place that we ate

at was wonderful!  Day 2 led to more adventures...
