Mesquite - Day 4

Time to get ready to go back home. :( We all decided to have breakfast together with Grandma and Grandpa before we left Mesquite. I am SO glad that we got to spend a few days with them! (I still haven't figured out how the date is showing up on the pictures - or why these say the wrong day - forgive me)

Congratulations again on 50 years together!! I think that we should spend another few days with you to celebrate 51 years together next year, and hopefully Dad, Codie, Stephen, Tim, Candace and Jack can come along! Just a thought...

Mesquite - Day 3

After having a discussion with the very nice lady that gave me a Eureka Players Card (yep - I am an official player) we all decided we would like to take a trip back in time. To the era of roller skates......

I Know...

I know, I know....I am a slacker blogger. But I have good reason! We have been on a mini-vacation to visit my grandparents in the land of warmer weather. Why do you say? Because they have been married to each other for a whopping 50 years! What an inspiration!!! Here is a peek at day two (since day one was all driving)...

Bowling Baby! The Virgin River has an awesome bowling alley. It was a lot of fun, especially since we could all do it together. We also hit the ARCADE - a must on any family trip to the casino! Wonder what we did on day 3?? Think 1980's.......

I can't wait to continue to show my kids everything I can - experience it all with them and see how they learn and grow, making the most of the time that we have together (before they become teenagers and don't want to hang out with me). And tell them I love them every single day.

Office Makeover

Anyone who has been to my house and seen my office knows what a disaster area it is. Anything and everything that we don't know what to do with gets thrown in there without a second thought. Well, I decided that I was tired of it being the "storage room" and gave it an overhaul. Keep in mind that I am not completely finished. I am going to make a new quilt for the bed and I also have a new desk and book cases coming.

I am sure that I will post pics when it is all finalized, but for now I am pretty excited about it. I used a chocolate brown paint that I thought would be too dark but isn't too bad at all. What do you think - any suggestions?

My kids are SICK

Of hanging out with me all of the time! Good thing they have an awesome auntie that will let them have a sleep over!!! Jack was super excited that I gave him a spoon to play with - it was SO funny! Candace let the kids build their fort and of course they were good and had an awesome time. Thanks again Sister!
